Why can't Hair algea go to hell - 2005/11/05 11:54
GOd I am soo mad I just spent 120 dollars on a new uv sterilzer to help get rid of my hair algea, It works fine, but now after two weeks of taking all of my live rock out of the tank and scrubbing it with a tooth brush, Its back and its even worse than before. I fanally got a great aquascape for my tank, and now i have to take it all out again and scrub. Even with my new clean up crew what do I do. I can't get an RO unite, because my mom wont let me mess with the plumbing lord knows why. She is also getting tired of me spending all of my money on it, and is saying that im not getting any more gadgetts..... The one thing I might be able to get is a new filter/ skimmer. i was looking at the back packs for my 29 gallon tank. I was leaning twards the Back pack 2R with 2 skimmers....And Instead of adding bio material I was gona fill it up with activated carbon. would this help? Is the back pack quiet? does any one know. Is there any thing else I can do? I dont know where to get RO water in my area, as there are no wallmarts, My LFS dosnt sell it... Is there an Onilne place that will deliver big bottles?
