need advice on replacing sunburst - 2006/02/22 19:46 Nov 12 ordered mustang pair but received sunbursts. One did fine the other was always skinny. The skinny didn't eat last night and now is missing/dead. I have a 40 gal reef with a small pink skunk clown, purple firefish, mini blenny, 1 cardinal. None were agressive to my horsies. Now the question is . . . do I get another sunburst or get my original requested order of 2 mustangs? Do I need a 2nd sunburst to make my remaining happy? Anxiously waiting your reply as to I wanted to place an order tonight for Saturday delivery.

Re:need advice on replacing sunburst - 2006/02/23 01:13 Hi Joanie,

So sorry to hear about your Sunburst. What a bummer.

I personally like to keep pairs or at least even numbers of males and females. They usually pair off and if there are only 3 someone is always left out.

I would suggest you either get 1 or 3 horses. Sunbursts and Mustangs are both the same species just different color variations, so you can go ahead and get either.

If you know what sex you have left you can request the opposite sex if you like.

HTH,

Leslie
