Pete, Please help... - 2008/06/14 13:34 Hi Pete, its been half year we didn't contact to each other.

finally i can afford to build a new tank, the dimension was 100 cm(20 cm for corner filter)x 50 cm x 50 cm. this is very brand new to me, when you are reading this, i even haven't fill my tank.i decided to keep pairs of Indonesian Seahorse along with sand gobies and pairs of cleaner shrimp only, and of course a coral since the last time you posted me that my 20 liters of tank was TOO SMALL! hahaha..

Please don't ask what happened to my old tank and seahorse, it is too terrible to tell in here.I should have listened to you last time.

To the point, WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY NEW TANK FOR INDONESIAN SEAHORSE? and if my information for you is not enough please do re-post this so that i could replay immedietly.Waiting for your instruction regardsfully, and this time i wont ignore..

Now that's more like it! With a height of about 20 inches (50 cm) and a capacity of nearly 70 gallons (265 L), your new aquarium should be much more successful than its undersized predecessor.

I would be very happy to provide you with detailed instructions for getting your new aquarium up and running and optimizing it to create ideal conditions for your Indonesian seahorses, but it will be helpful if you can tell me which seahorse species you will be keeping. Indonesia is home to a number of different seahorses, most notably Hippocampus kuda and H. barbouri, and they have somewhat different aquarium requirements.

If you're not certain what species your Indonesian seahorses are, then if you can describe their size and key characteristics for me (spininess, size and shape of their coronet, color pattern), I can provide you with much more specific information about their care and breeding habits in the aquarium.

Please contact me off list (PeteGiwojna@aol.com) and I will get back to you right away with loads of information about your new seahorses and how to prepare your aquarium to meet their needs. (Some of the files are too large to post on this forum.)
